Do home appraisals become public record in Florida?

No. Appraisal reports are either given directly to you as the client, or directly to your lender as the client.

The report will not become public record and a copy of the report will not be distributed to anyone that you do not release it to whether it is a new purchase, refinance, or private use appraisal. We often have clients that are concerned their property taxes will go up if they get an appraisal for a refinance. The County Property Appraiser does not have visibility to the appraised value estimated by the appraiser and does not update tax values based on third party appraisals.
